Got a barn-fresh baddie up for grabs. Proper golden age Fender “Telecaster” (👀 the headstock decal) with an April, 1958 neck paired with a fully loaded 1961 body. The contrarian in me would love to keep the decal on the headstock. It’s been on there since at least the early ‘70s.
About the hippie refin: Excellent body contours, no body depth lost in the stripping process, yet they didn’t remove the guard, bridge or neck plate when they stripped it. The three tone burst is fully preserved under all three.
Just took this in from the widow of its owner since the early ‘70s. Apparently the previous owner didn’t even know the parts weren’t all from the same Strat.
Restorations are always fun, but let’s see if we can find a home for this one without going that route. It’s just begging to be played.
