So, The Fish Store has made it through another successful Lake City trick-or-treat event and found ourselves overrun with candy as usual. You really shouldn’t go candy shopping while hungry! Please come by and help save us from the sugar-based armageddon we have created. You can have a piece just for coming in. You can have two pieces if you buy something. You can even have three pieces if you come in to buy something while wearing a Halloween costume. There really is a lot.

We are not sure how many of you made it to the All Aquarium Catfish Convention this past weekend, but we have some of the fancy catfish we’ve brought in over the past few weeks left. A small selection of the corys and plecos are shown here along with the African glass cats. We have many other cats available as well as our usually wide selection of other cool animals. Swing by and get some while you still can!

We are making this post because we have been asked to pass along some very unfortunate news. Little Amazon Fish and Pets will be closing their doors for the final time at the end of this year and they are looking to sell off as much of their stock as possible before then. We are including a photo from the internet to help remind you where they are located near N. 105th St and Aurora Ave. N.

Little Amazon has been a part of the Seattle pet industry for more than 30 years with a large selection of tank-busting fishes, corals, reptiles, and more. Their equipment and decoration selection is also very extensive. Linh and Huey are hoping to retire, so please help send them off with a final few months of great business!

Also, please pass this information on to anyone you know who also owns pets. Thank you.

Just a heads up: Someone of very questionable intellect has changed our status on Apple Maps as being permanently closed. This is false and has never been true. Our hours of operation have not changed in the past 15 months. We are in the process of trying to change this listing and would appreciate help in spreading the word. Also, we would appreciate the individual attempting to ruin our business take a long walk off a short pier with your pockets full of rocks. Have a nice day! 😃

We just wanted to let you all know that we have received a small shipment of captive bred saltwater animals from ORA. Pictured here are the derasa clams, hippopus clams, and a gold maxima clam along with a small grouping from a larger population of peppermint shrimp. Not pictured are the trochus snails we received as well. The clams are all small, but definitely not tiny. The shrimps can decimate Aiptasia anemones. Come get yours before they’re gone!!!

Just a heads up: This company listed here as aquateambox is using our physical address as their own and they are not associated with The Fish Store in any way, shape, or form. We have absolutely no association with them. A quick search also shows that they are selling Aquarium Co-op products, so perhaps this company is scamming people with Co-op products as well. Please do not fall for this scam. We will not be able to help anyone who runs into trouble dealing with them. Good luck!

We still have a few pond fish available if anyone wants to get something new into their pond before the summer weather fully leaves us. We have a couple of good looking, small koi and a bunch of pond comets left and these are marked at great price points. Now is going to be the best time to let these animals prepare for winter dormancy while it’s still fairly warm. There aren’t many, so get them while you can!

We are having a huge sale on our lace rock right now. While it is volcanic in origin, the outer layers of the rock can be reactive for a short period of time and alter the pH and hardness of a freshwater tank. Lace rock can be used successfully as base rock in a reef tank or a fish-only saltwater tank, but it will not have any filtration capabilities because it is too dense and water cannot pe*****te. There are a very wide range of sizes from small to very large. Come get them while you can!

Today’s message from The Fish Store comes in two parts. First we would like to show off the locally bred, F1 cockatoo cichlids. These are the offspring of some of the wild-caught individuals we brought in a few months ago and they are at a sexable size! Second, we are closing at 5:00pm today because of the Labor Day holiday. We hope to see you in today and hope you have fun grilling!
