Monster has local artwork, clothing for men, women, and children, fun accessories and very unique greeting cards... not to mention a huge wall of socks. Great gift ideas at affordable prices, so you can afford to treat yourself as well! We make a point to request plus sizes from our artists and currently have stock from XS to 4XL. Monster proudly features the unique works of over 100 independent a

rtists but Monster is more than just a retail shop. As the host of art and craft classes - we are more of a community meeting place & a spot to work on a project or meet friends to chat and stitch. Come knock out a project in the shop or bring a machine home to button make through the wee-hours of the night.

Friends - it has been one year since we got the keys to Monster and started the transition to Swoon City. I thought I’d take a minute to share a bit about my personal journey to opening Swoon City.

Enjoy these fun clips that show some of the work we put in to transitioning the store. It was a huge labor of love. And one that took contributions from my extended family. My sister and her good friend were our interior designers. My parents came to stay with us for a month and help with building out the space. My other sister and her family helped with painting, shelving booksbooks, and my brother-in-law built our hidden bookshelf. My cousin built a ton of bookshelves for me. My friends showed up in a big way too.

Since we opened the doors on 10.18.25 I’ve been so incredibly grateful to everyone who has taken the time to come to the store, to chat with me about books, to take a craft class, to authors that have come in and signed thier books, and just everyone who has embraced this new concept. I’ve met so many people that I consider friends, I have had so many fun and random conversations, I’ve read so many books that I probably wouldn’t have otherwise, and I’ve taken so many fun crafting classes with our amazing teachers. I’ve learned so much and I’m excited to keep growing along with our community.

We will be hosting a party on October 17th with authors, raffles, giveaways and more. I’ll share more details soon.
