THE BUNNY LIFE!
I haven't written much here for awhile, as in the middle of setting up shop, we moved to the suburbs! So I've been trying to get us settled in so I can get to making things for my shop!
One thing that has happened this year since we moved ... we've been missing having pets (like cows, and sheep, and chickens and ducks .... and and and!) and decided to get some Holland Lop Bunnies! 🐰 Oh! How much fun we've been having with them! We like to have them out of their cage to cuddle with, and to watch as they run around the room like in a Bunny500, and kick up their heels in Binkies! They have such enormous personalities! My Bella is the most loving pet I have ever had!
Although we like to have them out, we can't have them out when we aren't available to closely watch them (they can be litter trained, but it seems impossible to train them not to eat electrical cords) so I decided that they needed a home where they could run and play fairly freely. So I dreamed about what I would like if I were a healthy bunny, measured how much room we had in our downstairs den, and drew up plans. Then I gave my husband those plans and he turned them into reality!
The bunnies are loving their new home! Our daughter has stated that it can no longer be referred to as a "cage" ... it is a Bunny Mansion! They are so happy that we are convinced that all pet bunnies would love to have their own mansion, so my husband and I are looking into selling them from my shop. Since we know about moving, we designed/built it in a way that it can be disassembled to move and reassembled, thus making it easier to ship and/or move. We are thinking about offering it as a kit to assemble on your own, with a possible option for assembly for local customers for an additional fee.
Our daughter has plans for a blog for the bunnies, as well as a live bunny cam! We are researching possibilities for these. Perhaps they will inspire some additional items handmade/sewn items in my shop as well!
Enjoying the Bunny Life ... really, you should try it! 🐰🐇
