Today is international Sloth Day. We hear so many people say they wish they could pet a sloth. You should definitely just come grab a Sneaky Sloth plushie from Robot vs Sloth instead!

👀
Here’s 3 reasons you should actually NEVER touch a sloth 👇🏼

🦥 Sloths are prey animals that prefer to be left alone. Handling, loud noises, and changes in environment trigger severe anxiety, elevated blood pressure, and shortened lifespans.

✨ To make a sloth docile enough for tourist photos or petting zoos, baby sloths are torn away from their mothers at a very young age.

🤎 Demands for handling experiences and pet ownership fuel illegal poaching, stress-induced miscarriages, and high mortality rates among
wild populations. See The Sloth Conservation Foundation for more info!

Stop by the shop and take home your very own sloth plushie!

Adults say the darndest things.

I spent 2 days this week repainting my mural at our shop in the gorgeous Pike Place Market and I got to hear some really wonderful and some really weird things.

I absolutely love meeting new people and talking about art, especially kids that are excited to see a grown up being creative. Then there are some comments that throw me for a loop.

Artists, what is the weirdest thing someone has ever said to you while you were working?

Come see the crisp new Robot and Sneaky Sloth for yourself at Robot vs Sloth in the Pike Place Market.

About a month ago, King 5's New Day Northwest invited us to showcase our Craft Bar. I was so excited, but super nervous (and sweaty). Thankfully, our fabulous Magnolia shop manager, Leah came with me (it was a surprise that she wasn't going to be on camera with me).

Kelly Hanson and the producer Suzie, made me feel at ease. It was so fun crafting on air and sharing about the shop and our Craft Bar.

After filming I kept worrying that I missed something or messed something up. When we got back to the shop, so many people came by to tell us that they saw us on the news and were so inspired to come craft. It made my heart so happy.

It was such an honor and great experience to go on New Day NW. Can't wait to go back and showcase another art project. Huge thanks to Kelly, Suzie, and New Day NW!
