“. 🎨✨ LET’S TALK PAINT-YOUR-OWN POTTERY AT THE MERCANTILE! ✨🎨

I’ve had lots of questions about how pottery painting will work, so here are all the details! 🩷

Once The Mercantile is officially open and our regular hours are established, you can come in anytime during business hours and paint pottery! No appointment needed—just come pick a piece, grab some colors, and CREATE! 🎨

🏺 POTTERY PRICING
Our pottery pieces range from approximately $15–$45, with the majority around $25.

And the best part? The price you see includes EVERYTHING!
✨ Your pottery piece
✨ All the colors you need
✨ Clear glazing
✨ Kiln firing

No surprise studio or firing fees!

🎉 PRIVATE PAINT PARTIES & EVENTS

Have a group of more than 4, a birthday, girls’ night, family get-together, team event, shower, or just want The Mercantile to yourselves for a little while? You can book a private paint time!

Private parties are a $50 reservation fee during regular business hours or $100 for exclusive after-hours events” in addition to the cost of each pottery piece. The fee is due at booking to reserve your date and time and includes:

🎨 2 hours of private paint time for you and your guests
🎂 You’re welcome to bring cake
🍿 Bring your own snacks & drinks
🎈 Minimal decorations are welcome
👯 Comfortable seating for up to 15 painters

Have a certain theme in mind or want specific pottery pieces for your party? Let me know ahead of time! I can special order pieces when available to help make your event extra fun!

And pottery isn’t the only party we can have around here! 🤩

If your group would rather create something different, we can also do Hat Bar Parties and a variety of other painting projects! Pricing for those will vary depending on what you choose, so just message me and we can come up with something fun for your group.

My whole vision for The Mercantile is to have a place where kids, adults, families and friends can come in, slow down for a little while, make a mess, laugh, CREATE something and leave with a memory. 😍🎨

Y’all… our FIRST PAINT PARTY at The Mercantile was SO MUCH FUN!! 🎨💕

Seeing everyone sitting around the tables, painting, laughing, creating and just having the best time was everything I have dreamed about and envisioned for this place! I may have had a little “oh my goodness… this is really happening!” moment. 🥰

More than anything, I want The Mercantile to be a place where people come to CREATE, LAUGH, MAKE MEMORIES and HAVE FUN! A place for kids of ALL ages—and when I say all ages, I mean 1 to 99!

Birthday parties, girls’ nights, family days, date nights, grandparents & grandkids… I want ALL of it! Come make a mess, paint something fun, and leave with a memory. ❤️

Our first party just made me even MORE excited for what’s to come! This is exactly what I hoped The Mercantile would be. 😍🎨✨

🎨✨ IT’S A BIG MORNING AT THE MERCANTILE!! ✨🎨

We may not be completely open just yet… BUT we’re hosting our very first BIRTHDAY PAINT PARTY this morning, and I seriously couldn’t be more excited!! 🥳🎂🎨

There’s just something about filling this space with kids, creativity, paint, laughter, and probably a little bit of a mess that makes my heart so happy! 😍

This is exactly what I pictured when I dreamed up The Mercantile—a fun little place to come together, get creative, celebrate, and make some sweet memories!

First off, THANK YOU to every teacher who entered the giveaway and took the time to share what inspired you to become a teacher or why you love what you do. I truly enjoyed reading every single comment. ❤️

From the teachers who taught me, to the ones who have poured so much love and encouragement into my daughters’ lives, there are so many of you who hold such a special place in my heart. We have truly been blessed with some incredible teachers, and I am so thankful for each and every one of you.

I honestly wish I had the time to paint every single one of you a classroom banner because every one of you deserves one! But apparently, time management was one thing I wasn’t taught efficiently in school… 🤣

Thank you for loving on our kids, encouraging them, believing in them, and making a difference every single day. Y’all are appreciated more than you know. ❤️🍎

I’m on the hunt for the perfect POS system for The Mercantile, and I know y’all always have the best recommendations!

Here’s what I’m looking for:
✔️ Vendor-assigned profiles/codes for multiple makers
✔️ Tracks each vendor’s sales and payouts
✔️ Makes commission reporting easy
✔️ Accepts credit/debit, tap-to-pay, and mobile payments
✔️ Can travel with us for markets, festivals, and other off-site events
✔️ User-friendly (because I don’t need another thing making my brain hurt 🤣)

If you use a system you absolutely LOVE (or one I should stay far, far away from 😅), please tell me all about it! Bonus points if you sell products from multiple vendors or artisans.

I’d love to hear the pros, cons, and why you chose it. Thank y’all in advance! Y’all always save me so much time with your recommendations. ❤️

Y’all already know I have a soft spot for handmade things and the people behind them. ❤️ One of my biggest dreams for The Mercantile has always been creating a place where local creativity gets to shine!

Now…we don’t have room for a million booths (I wish we did 🤣), but we do have room for some incredibly talented makers to showcase what they create!

Maybe you’ve been making things for years…
Maybe you’ve just started your little side hustle…
Or maybe your craft room is overflowing and your family is begging you to clear some space. 😂

Whatever stage you’re in, we’d LOVE to hear from you!

🍪 A quick note for my Cottage Food friends: If you operate under the Mississippi Cottage Food Law, we won’t be able to sell your products inside our retail location. BUT…please don’t let that stop you! We’d still love to hear about what you make because we’d love to include you in future markets, pop-up events, and other special events at The Mercantile!
