🎣🔥 The walleye bite is absolutely on fire! 🔥🎣

🎣 You know the Walleye bite is HOT when you break your record for the most crawlers sold in a single day... THREE different times in the same week! 🔥🐟

Saginaw Bay has been producing some incredible fishing, and anglers are stocking up before they hit the water.

If that's not a sign the fish are biting, we don't know what is!

🎣 Quick Sebewaing Harbor Marina Walleye Report:
🐟 The Slot and the Bar have been producing excellent catches. Most fish are coming from 10–18 feet of water, with crawler harnesses leading the way. Flicker Minnows are also putting plenty of fish in the boat, especially during the early morning hours. Trolling speeds around 1.5–2.0 MPH have been working well.

Due to last weekend's Small Craft Advisories and the many activities surrounding the Michigan Sugar Festival this weekend, the Michigan Sugar Festival Average Joe Walleye Tournament has been canceled for 2026.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate everyone's understanding.

Thank you to all the anglers, sponsors, volunteers, and supporters who planned to participate. We look forward to bringing the tournament back next year and hope to see everyone on the water then!

⚠️ Due to the current Small Craft Advisory for Sunday, 14th, the Michigan Sugar Festival Walleye Tournament has been canceled at this time. ⚠️

The safety of all anglers and participants is our top priority. Current weather and water conditions on Saginaw Bay are not favorable for a safe tournament event.

We appreciate everyone's understanding and support. Any additional information regarding rescheduling or future plans will be announced as it becomes available.

Due to the Small Craft Advisories that have been issued for Saturday, June 13th, the Michigan Sugar Walleye Festival Tournament has been postponed until Sunday, June 14th.

🌊 Safety is our top priority, and current conditions are not favorable for a safe and enjoyable event on Saturday.

⛅ At this time, Sunday's forecast is also looking questionable, and we are continuing to closely monitor weather and water conditions.

📢 We will provide additional updates regarding Sunday's status as more information becomes available.

With the recent loss of the three gentlemen this week on Saginaw Bay, we’d like to remind everyone to stay safe on the water and take a few minutes to check your safety equipment before heading out.

Make sure your boat has:
🎇 Up-to-date flares
🦺 Proper life jackets for everyone onboard
📣 Working noise-making devices
🔦 Flashlights and other emergency gear

The weather and wind on Saginaw Bay can change in an instant — calm waters can quickly turn dangerous. A simple safety check before leaving the dock could save lives.

Please take the time to inspect your equipment, let someone know your plans, and always keep an eye on the forecast. Let’s all do our part to make sure everyone makes it home safely. 🙏

🎣 Just a quick Walleye Report update from 5/5/26!

Fishing from mid-morning into the early afternoon turned out to be worth the ride for anglers willing to battle the conditions. Walleye were caught in 17 to 24 feet of water out from the Sebewaing Harbor Marina area, with some solid action going over the bar and working between the bar and the shipping channel near the “spark plug.”

🎣 The hot setups today were Flicker Minnows and crawler harnesses, with both putting fish in the boat. Slow and steady seemed to be the key, especially with the rougher water conditions.

🌊 It definitely wasn’t a calm day on the bay — the wind and waves made for a bumpy ride out there, but anglers sticking it out were still able to connect with some nice fish. Sometimes the best bites come when conditions aren’t perfect!

If you’re heading out, be safe, keep an eye on the weather, and don’t be afraid to work those deeper stretches. The fish are there! Tight lines everyone! 🎣

🚨 Channel Update — Sebewaing River 🚨

Just a quick heads up — the big tree that was sitting in the center of the Sebewaing channel has been removed! 🌳🚤

It turned out to be a lot bigger than expected, and it took over an hour to drag it in. Huge thanks to everyone involved in getting it cleared out and making the channel safer for boaters. 💪
