Y’all, I think my husband Matthew and a few of our Homemade Haven makers have started their own secret society! They've been plotting and planning, and every time I ask what's going on, Matthew gives me ONE answer…

Hello to our wonderful Haven Fam!

We’ll be opening the shop today from 1:00-6:00 PM, and we want to take a moment to thank all of our amazing makers and Haven friends for the incredible love and support you’ve shown our family this week.

From the calls and texts to the kind words, prayers, and check-ins, it has truly meant more to us than we can say. We are so thankful to have such a wonderful community surrounding our family and our little shop behind the yellow door.

Good morning, Haven Fam.

Homemade Haven will not be open again today as our family is dealing with an unexpected emergency. Right now, we just need a little time to focus on our family and be where we’re needed most.

We’re working on a plan for tomorrow, and if anything changes for today, we’ll let everyone know right here.

This morning Jaxson asked, “Where is Hillary? Did Perry go on another adventure? And is Gabby still talking?”

I knew Hillary and Perry… but apparently Gabby the Goose now lives above Ms. Rosie’s shelf, watches the whole Schoolyard, and knows everything because she talks too much.

Then Matt showed the boys the camera footage from last night, and I had to watch too. As much as I tease him about these little mascots, I love how he keeps the boys’ imaginations alive.

So if you see Perry somewhere new, Hillary hiding again, or Gabby keeping watch, it’s probably just Matthew making the next memory, writing the next line of the story, and trying to put a smile on someone’s face.
