When your dad starts a prank war but forgets who his daughter is . 😌🌿😂

Pig decided that because she is a wonderful daughter, she should publicly help Dad with his completely real and definitely-not-made-up problems: stinky feet, gas, and grumpiness. 😂

At least we learned about sage, peppermint, and mimosa along the way.

Educational? ✅
Helpful? Debatable. 😂

Prank war champion? Pig.

Kids belong outside. 🌿

They belong with muddy shoes, sticks in their pockets, bugs in their hands, and a hundred questions about everything they see.

Outside isn’t just somewhere we take kids.

It’s where they belong.

Nature is every child’s birthright.

Sometimes you just need to step outside, get away from everybody, enjoy the fresh air, listen to the birds, and have a few peaceful minutes to yourself. 🌿😌

So that’s exactly what I tried to do this morning.

Except a rooster was out.

Apparently he also needed to step outside, enjoy the fresh air, and SCREAM HIS FEELINGS AT THE TOP OF HIS LUNGS. 🐓📢

Next Saturday, September 19, we’re taking over Bloch Park to find out just how biodiverse our little corner of Selma really is.

All you need is your phone and a little curiosity. Download iNaturalist ahead of time, charge your phone, and come help us document the plants, insects, birds, fungi, and other life calling Bloch Park home.

You don’t have to be a naturalist. You don’t even have to know what you’re looking at. That’s part of the fun. Take pictures, make observations, and let’s see what Selma has been hiding in plain sight.

We finally have our schedule for the rest of the year, which means we can get back to making educational content! 🌿🐍

I’ve had about five different projects going at once lately, on top of being a mom, and generally having no idea what day it is. 😆

Snake Charmer Herbs has been BUSY behind the scenes, but I’ve missed just getting on here and talking about plants, wildlife, and all the weird little things happening outside around us.

It's time to touch grass!
