There is SO much road work happening in downtown Seneca. We KNOW it's tough to get here (we nearly turned around ourselves and went back home this morning*).

Please know that all our downtown merchants are here and ready to provide you with all the charm that comes when shopping with small businesses. Come see us this weekend! Fri, 10a-5p & Sat, 10a-4p 📚

*not really, but we gotta be dramatic about it, ya know 🤷🏽‍♀️

A nice rainy reading day today - and what goes great with rainy weather? A big cup of something warm. We got you covered on the books and the mugs if you're in need of either. Come visit with us today from 10a-4p 📚

We hope everyone has a wonderful and safe (rainy!) weekend!

This cooler weather means that the little ghosties can don their little pumpkin hats to stay warm (LOOK HOW HOW PRECIOUS, BETTER BE NICE TO THEM, THEY ARE SENSITIVE).

Come visit with us from 10a-5p!

It’s Banned Books Week! 📚 October 4–10, we’re recognizing the freedom to read and bringing attention to efforts to restrict access to books.

What’s the difference between a challenged book and a banned book? A challenge is an attempt to remove or restrict access to a book. A ban happens when a book is removed because of those objections.

Banned Books Week encourages us to learn about censorship, explore different perspectives, and support the freedom to choose what we read.

At First Chapter Bookshop, we’re proud to celebrate readers, stories, and that freedom. Come see us this week!
