It's Friday and your favorite Farmers Market is back for Week 21 (already?!?!)

🌅 With the sun setting sooner, this is the LAST week we are here until 7 pm

So grab your picnic blanket, your oversized tote bags, your wide-brimmed hats, and your well-behaved dogs for a beautiful Farmers Market Friday

🎸 Today's line up includes live music, typewriter poetry, food trucks, knife sharpening, a bookstore on wheels, puppies for adoption, emotional support houseplants, botanical body care, artisanal jewelry, gorgeous pottery, hand-poured candles, and free face painting for the kids

🥬 AND all the Long Island farm fresh produce, North Fork w**es, locally caught fish, homegrown hot sauce, Brooklyn bakery, sourdough loaves, pretzel bites, small batch distillery, pickles on a stick, balsamic glazes, and honey from the hives where you can meet the bees!!!

🍋 Grab a freshly squeezed lemonade or a banana bread latte or a mint iced tea, have dinner of empanadas or pierogis or meat pies, scoop a full meal with sides & desserts from Grandma's Table... and stay a while

It's pretty delicious here and we're so glad you're part of our market!!!

The Farmers Market reminds us that community isn't something we talk about - it's something we practice.

Every Friday, by choosing to shop local, linger a little longer, and connect with one another, we're building something much bigger than a farmers market.

We're creating the kind of place people want to call home.

As neighbors gather for today's Farmers Market, we invite everyone to a flag raising and moment of silence at 3:00 p.m. in remembrance of the 25th anniversary of September 11.

Together, we pause to honor those we lost and the resilience that continues to unite us.

First responders who attend the market today will be gifted a tote bag - thank you for keeping our community a safe place where everyone is welcome!

Sounds pretty wild that this is the last Farmers Market Friday in August, and the last week in our Summer season!

💚 Not to worry - we still have 9 weeks of market joy for the Fall in September and October

Today's weather might be cloudy, but we promise a bright and shiny market because YOU are the sunshine!!!

🥒 We've got great vendors, free face painting for kids big and small, and picnic tables big enough to fit the whole family around

Come shop small, support local, and make a few more memories as we stretch out the last weeks of Summer together!

🔎 As always, the museum is open for free tours, we are happy to stamp your Suffolk 250 passports, and the Long Island History Hunt is on - you still have time to get in on the ultimate selfie challenge with cash prizes

Farmers markets connect us with fresh food, local farms, and the people who grow it. Every purchase supports a small business, strengthens our local economy, and helps preserve Long Island's agricultural heritage.

🥒 But what keeps people coming back week after week? It more than pickles on a stick or a bottle of North Fork w**e. It's how you feel while you're here.

The Three Village Farmers & Artisans Market is a "Third Space" - a place that isn't home and isn't work, but somewhere people naturally gather. On Friday evenings, our historic campus transforms into a community living room.

💚 Families picnic on the lawn, children play together, neighbors catch up, musicians perform, local authors share their work, and visitors explore the Museum free of charge. Farmers answer questions about what's in season, kids meet the people who grow their food, and local history becomes part of everyday life.

Whether this is your first time visiting the farmers market, or you're here every week, or you've been here for all 12 years, thank you for making our market the best on Long Island.

🎂 Happy Birthday, Bev Tyler 🎂

Today, we celebrate a remarkable historian and cherished friend of the Three Village Historical Society & Museum.

🇺🇸 Beverly C Tyler has been part of TVHS since the Bicentennial Committee was formed in 1974, helping shape the community's celebrations during our nation's Bicentennial in 1976.

More than fifty years later, he continues that work as a dedicated member of the Long Island 250 Commission, ensuring that the stories of our region remain at the heart of America's Semiquincentennial.

📖 Over the years, Bev has served as President of the Board (twice), has been a steadfast Society Historian, authored "The Historian" newsletter for decades, and continues to share his passion through his biweekly History Close at Hand column in the Times Beacon Record.

On Fridays, you'll find him at the Three Village Farmers & Artisans Market, happily talking history, signing books, inspiring children with his tales, regaling guests with travel stories, and welcoming anyone curious about our community's past.

🌊 Whether he's guiding a maritime walking tour at low tide, sharing his expertise on the Culper Spy Ring, uncovering the stories of local families, leading children through Founder's Day, or inspiring audiences through lectures across Long Island, Bev has an extraordinary gift for making history come alive.

But beyond the titles, the books, and the countless volunteer hours, Bev is something even more meaningful to us: an unwavering champion of the Three Village Historical Society, a generous mentor, and a wonderful friend.

💙 Bev, thank you for your decades of service, your endless curiosity, your kindness, and your belief that local history has the power to bring people together. Our community is richer because of you.

Every Friday, the Three Village Farmers & Artisans Market proves that shopping small & supporting local is about so much more than filling our cute market tote bags.

🍋 It's about Long Island farmers and small businesses, creating opportunities for local makers to thrive, gathering neighbors around picnic tables, introducing children to where their food comes from, and opening the doors of the Three Village Historical Society & Museum for free to the whole community.

For 12 seasons, the Three Village Market has been where history, agriculture, and community come together.

💛 Thank you to every farmer, vendor, volunteer, educator, maker, baker, musician, partner, and guest who continues to make Friday nights in Setauket something truly special.
