The farm animals will be taking a vacation next week when they head to the Cuyahoga County fair. Come and see them before their trip— Stearns is open from 11 to 2 today.

The Country Store is freshly stocked with bouquets as well as plenty of other goodies!

While my husband isn’t in the Three Girls name, he’s an integral part of all that happens here. He just goes along with whatever I dream up and he is such a helpful partner in everything we do—from helping setup markets to facilitating order pickups (many of you have probably met him at pick ups along the way 😃), to helping with beds and weeding. He’s the best!!

That all being said, this is his birthday weekend and we are taking a short break from Stearns and the Indy market to celebrate him. We will see you again on Thursday in Seven Hills 💛

Crop failure is a very frustrating, yet common issue for farmers of all types—flower farming included.

I have really been struggling with my sunflowers this year. Primarily due to chipmunks and squirrels digging them up and tearing out my plants.

I’m grateful to have relationships with other growers in the area and we help each other fill in the gaps when we have them.

One such farmer is Oxbow Orchard in Valley View. They are growing the most spectacular sunflowers this year. Check these out 🤩

Want to see these gorgeous blooms in person? Head over to their Final Friday event featuring FLOWERFEST— this Friday, July 31 at 6pm. There will be live music, delicious local food (BBQ and icecream) opportunities to learn about dyeing with plants, tours of their farm and flower patches, and you can even take home your own marigold tie-dyed handkerchief!
