Lonesome Dove Woodcarving

Lonesome Dove Woodcarving I began carving in 1992. I use traditional tools for all of my carvings. Anything from holiday carvings to the Civil War Also carve a few fishing lures as well.

I do folk carvings that are either Holiday oriented or dealing with anything from the Civil War to the appalachian region. Carvings include Santa's, Angels, Snowmen, The Nativity & Mother & Child are a few Christmas ones I do. And for Halloween; witches, scarecrows, pumpkins, etc. Also I do folk cows, horses, Mules, hillbillies, farmers, etc. As well as old shoes & boots. Cowboys and Native American carvings as well as Union and Confederate Soldiers of the Civil War.

Felt I needed to update everyone. Due to illness, deaths in the family and the fact I've been working on a huge project (a scene) that will take me much longer than I should be taking with festivals coming up and the reopening of my shop in Old Washington when the weather breaks. So I'm starting back on inventory for the season. Stayed tuned. Thank you all for your support and business.
