9 years ago this week (and 2 months before I started this business!), I adopted Shiloh. She’d been given up twice before me and someone had already claimed her when I filled out a back-up application hoping it would fall through. And luckily it did!

She should be around 12 now although everyone always thought she was older than 3 when I got her.

She brings so much joy and whimsy to my life every single day. So many of my favorite memories and adventures have been with her. And we’ve been through A LOT these past 9 years. I’m so grateful she’s been by my side for all of it.

✨ You are the love of my life, sweet old lady. Here’s to as many more days or years as you’ll give me. ✨

Check your spam folder for my emails! I sent an email yesterday, did you get it? Ever since I updated my email address, my open rates have gone from 40-50% to 20-25% and many of my most engaged subscribers said my emails are going to spam. 😞

Mark my emails as "not spam" and add [email protected] to your contacts to make sure you receive them going forward.

I came out as bisexual in 2022. I went to my first Pride March and festival by myself in 2023. Everyone was so warm and welcoming and I had a blast. In 2024, I asked my nephew to drive down and go to a couple of events with me and it was even better! Last year, I met up with my friend Jessie and her husband. My Mom and I visited the Stonewall Inn on one of our NYC trips last year too (Today is Stonewall day!).

This year, I met up with a whole group of friends and had the best time. I can’t believe how in just a few years I went from being by myself to making so many friends in the LGBTQ+ community and beyond.

Even if you’re not q***r, I really hope you’ll consider going to events as an ally. My ally friend Jessie made me feel so much less alone last year. You will be welcome and have SO much fun (Especially at drag shows. Have you been? You should go).

Please continue to vote for our rights at the ballot box. We all just want to feel safe and live our lives! Join me in supporting organizations like the ACLU, The Trevor Project, Human Rights Campaign, Knox Pride, Knox Needs, and many more.

I hope you’ll join a festival or march this month and keep speaking out against the bu****it policies and legislation trying to strip dignity and humanity away. Pride began as a protest and to me it means standing tall in our truth, loving ourselves and others as they are, self-expression, and the rainbow after the storm. 🌈❤️
