Kovener's Korner In 1949, Bill and Lena Faye Kovener opened a small soft-serve ice cream store in Seymour, Indiana.

The couple bought and converted a Standard Oil gasoline station, owned by Lena Faye’s parents, into one of Seymour’s very first drive-in restaurants. The store became well known for serving a wide variety of flavors including a special Chocolate Malt ice cream. The special recipe, still used today, has shaped a summertime tradition for many Seymour families. The store and tradition remain in business under owners Rick and Gary Kovener and is managed by members of the Kovener family. Stop in and try our Chocolate Malt, Big Red Float, Iceberger, or one of our other delicious frozen desserts.
