Pretty excited to put this thing through its paces.

You may recognize a lot of the parts from a project I did a couple years ago. I realized after making that bike that I really did want disc brakes and some deeper rims... For all of you out there, I recommend deciding all of those details BEFORE the bike gets made ;)

It's usually right about this time of year when I realize how profoundly the loss of daylight affects me.

It's especially unfortunate when I'm not starting from a particularly high emotional baseline.

While you might guess that the July's of my childhood were spent obsessively following the happenings of LeTour, especially given the timing of American fortune in the race (Lemond), but you'd be wrong. Memories of the summers of my youth include watching Wimbledon with my grandmother, who would have been 100 this past Monday.
