Let’s talk lash health—because prevention is everything.
One thing many clients don’t realize is that lash licensing requirements vary by state, and in Florida the required training hours are among the lowest. This makes continued education and proper technique absolutely critical once licensed.
Recently, I’ve been seeing an increase in cluster lashes being applied incorrectly, which can cause serious long-term damage to natural lashes.
✨ Important distinction:
Cluster lashes themselves are not the issue—their intended wear time is.
✔️ Cluster lashes are designed for temporary wear only (1–2 days max) using a temporary adhesive such as Duo.
❌ Problems occur when clusters are applied with professional lash extension glue or other permanent adhesives.
Here’s why this is harmful:
Natural lashes grow in cycles. When a single cluster is bonded to multiple lashes that are all in different phases, the shedding lashes will pull out actively growing lashes by the root. Over time, this can lead to:
• Thinning lashes
• Interrupted growth cycles
• Permanent follicle damage
For long-term wear, lashes should always be applied using a 1:1 ratio:
✔️ One extension bonded to one natural lash
This allows each lash to shed naturally without damaging neighboring lashes.
If you plan to wear lashes long-term, proper application matters just as much as the style you choose.
