After 15 years I have decided to close my store, Cascade Antiques in Shasta Lake City. I would like to thank all my customers and friends who have supported my business in the past. We will start a Big Sale starting this Friday the 19th of May. It will run to June 27 2023. If by chance you plan on buying a lot please bring some boxes and wrapping paper. To dealers all display cases will be on sale, too. They will require a deposit to hold and be available for pickup June 28th. You will receive a better discount with cash. I hope to see you all before I close.... it has been a great 15 years!

Went to pick a sandwich for lunch at the Subway on Oasis Rd in North Redding CA. Placed the order, then went to pay and they refused my money (currency)! It says on the currency "This note is legal tender for all debts public and private" This is so wrong, I will never step foot in a Subway store ever again. Not sure if this store is the only one or it is the whole company.

I called the corporate office in CT and was able to text my concern to a representative for the company. I just asked why the company is no longer taking cash, they asked if I am in California and had an attorney? I told her no. She then proceeded to make a pop-up show on my screen for Visa so I could retain an attorney to talk with them.
Just another way corporate & government entities are trying to due away with cash, so they can track everything we do while using credit & debit cards. Photo is the Subway on Oasis Road in North Redding........

Arrived at the store today to find a surprise. Tall metal sign which has been up for the last 40 years tried to come smashing down last night. 60+mph wind gusts. Broke at the weld.....all fixed so see everybody on Friday.
