Who's Your Source?

Today's Scripture
How will this be, Mary ask the angel, since I am a virgin?
Luke 1:34

Today's Word
The angel told Mary she would conceive and give birth to Jesus, the Messiah, without knowing a man. He was talking about the physical, but this has meaning for us as well. God was showing us that your not dependent on people. What you're believing for can happen without getting your manager at work to like you or talking your friend into giving you a good break. You don't need who you think you need. People are not your source; God is your source. When it's your time, when God shows up in His power, nothing can stand in His way. Chains will break, doors will open, and opportunity will come. It can happen without a bank, without the treatment, without the experience, without the resources, without the connections. God is about to surprise you. As with Mary, it's going to be something you've never seen. Something that's never happened in your family. Something that defies the odds, that catapults you in your destiny. Just stay focused on your true source.

Today's Prayer
Father, thank You that You are my provider, the source of everything good in my life. Thank You that I am not dependent upon other people, but it is Your favor that brings me the right people and the right connections. I will stay focused on You, knowing You make happen what no person can make happen. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Blessed

Today's Scripture
But blessed are those in the Lord and have made the Lord their hope and confidence.

Today's Word
When you see the word "blessed" in the scripture, the amplified Bible describes it as "happy, fortunate, to be envied, prosperous," which is the way you need to see yourself. The Blessing doesn't do you any good if you think you're limited because you've been through too much or you never get any good breaks. Limited thinking will lead to a limited life. A blessed mind-set will lead to a blessed life. You may have obstacles that look too big, and you don't see how you can accomplish your dream, but the blessing on your life is more powerful than any force that tries to stop you. God's blessing is an empowerment where you can live joyfully, with a spring in your step, a song of praise in your heart, despite the circumstances. It's a blessing that will cause you to go where you can't go on your own, to overcome what seems too big, to accomplish dreams that look impossible. All through the day, just remember that the Most High God has placed His hand of blessing on you.

Today's Prayer
Father, thank You for the blessing You have put on my life because I trust in You. Thank You that no one can take that blessing from me and it is greater than any force that tries to stop me. I believe that Your hand of blessing is on me and is going to take me further than I've imagined. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
