🌧️ Rain? We light the fire and bring the music inside.

That’s the beauty of Music in the Biergarten at Willow Falls.

If Mother Nature cooperates, we’ll spread out among the gardens. If she gets a little dramatic, Brew Brothers and Sister Band simply moves into the Fireside Lounge and the afternoon carries on.

Today Susan heads off on a mushroom foray and wild-food adventure.

Which feels rather appropriate when Into the Woods is waiting at Willow Falls the moment she returns.

This dinner is not intended to be entirely foraged—but the spirit of gathering, woodland cooking, seasonal ingredients, and discovering what the land gives us is woven throughout the evening.

Even the pork chop carries a little experiment from the Willow Falls kitchen:

WOW! Camp Anokijig turns 100 this summer! Congratulations Camp Anokijig ! That is wonderful.

Camp Anokijig is celebrating its centennial this summer, culminating in a 100th Anniversary Alumni Weekend August 21–23. The camp opened in 1926 and is inviting generations of former campers back to share photographs, letters and memories. Even better, they are trying to retire their remaining long-term debt in time to literally “Burn the Note” on August 22 as part of the celebration. Into the Woods is our late-summer wine dinner inspired by forest paths, fairy-tale mischief, seasonal food, and the question every good story asks:
