To all who support me-
First I’d like to say thank you. Only a handful know, but I’ve taken a gamble the past month and a half and decided to dedicate myself to my passion full time.
As many small businesses or artists may know, financially. This is such a risk. I can do one market/event and pull in enough interest to pay the bills for the month. Or I can do multiple events and barely recover the cost of setting up.
I have a lot of dreams for Rye’s Studio. I want to one day open a shop or space big enough to host events, teach classes, be a fun space to shop and hang out and make a mess.
Am I doing this in a smart way….no. Haha but I’m trying. I’m trying to post more and get my name out there, I’m trying to show up and be apart of the community I’ve been slowly discovering. I am trying to dedicate myself fully to what I love and make it happen.
I’ve said this for years and it will never change. I am a small town artist who makes pieces for fun and to give other people that joy. I don’t sell my art to make a living, I sell it to make people happy.
That will never change. Even when (not if) this does take off, and I get the space I need and the following that feels what I feel, I will never make solely for the money. I have my pieces in different cities and states, and that feeling of knowing that some person I’ve never met is going to walk into a friends house and see my painting or sun catcher or forever plant and go, “that’s cool, where’d you get that?” Absolutely warms my heart.
I am inspired by big and small artist all over the place all the time, and if I can inspire someone as well, that’s all I want.
So, for my birthday this year (tomorrow), all I ask if for you to follow my page, maybe give me a like or share a post. If you’ve seen me and my art at any events, maybe leave a review on my page.
All the pieces below are available, dm me if you’re interested in any.
Thank you for your time, sorry this post was lengthy. I appreciate the love and support and I hope to see yall at the next event!
