Just added an Introduction to Knitting Class to the calendar for this Friday, October 2, from 6:30-8:00 p.m. Come learn the two basic stitches and get ready to embark on a journey of creating something with your own hands. Email [email protected] to sign up. Class fee is $25 and there is a $10 materials fee, both can be paid the day of the class. Class will be capped at 5 registrants. A fantasitc opportunity coming up on October 10th at Sheboygan's Mead Public Library, you can make your own drop spindle and learn to use said drop spindle all in one afternoon for free!
Spinning yarn using a drop spindle has been around for centuries and today it remains a low cost way to dip your toes into the world of spinning. Registration is required, check the link for details! We had an amazing day on Friday at Wisconsin Sheep and Wool Festival! We learned about more than a dozen breeds of sheep and the qualities of their wool in the Hall of Breeds tour. My daughter just walked around the barn saying, "Sheep, sheep, sheep!" (pictured below) We met so many of our vendors in person- shepherds, spinners, dyers. We met talented instructors who teach basket making, soap felting, and braided rug making. And we got to test yarns, roving, and wheels with Ply Together (also pictured below). It was a celebration overflowing with creativity and connections with others who love the fiber arts! Thank you to all the people who made this festival possible, long live wool!

We are basking in all the joys of our reopening celebration yesterday, thank you all for your joy and support of this beautiful local yarn shop! We love this community!
