Shards & Light - stained glass Stained/Art Glass and fused glass is my passion I was always curious about stained glass pieces. Unless of course the unthinkable occurs, and it gets broke. YES!

How were they made, and thinking this is something that can stick around long after the person who created the piece! In 2001 I took my first glass class, and ever since then it has snowballed! I now have 2 full sized glass racks with partitions, that are separating colors of glass. I recently added 2 kilns to the workshop, and dabble in fusing COE 96 glass too. Sometimes incorporating a fused pie

ce in a stained glass panel. I love the vibrant colors glass has to offer, the longevitity of a creation, and the greatest reward? When someone likes one of my pieces enough to purchase it! and says 'your pieces are so different'. I have achieved my mission! LOL

I've done it!!!!!!
Ordered a new glass kiln today!!!!!!
Only down side...... gotta wait for it to be built 12-16 weeks!

Painted the words freehand, with glass enamel paints kiln fired today. And a little owl, of course! 😆 🤣

Centerpiece- glass enamels painted then kiln fired, streaky piece of stained glass added behind it. Hammered copper wires added during the soldering process. Clean, patina, clean, polish, clean, buff. Added chain, will be adding my initials to the frame in lower right corner of the frame yet with my trusty Dremel.

Made this panel for a recent commission. Customer wanted color, and its a birthday gift for his wife.
