At Big Sky Seeds, we are often asked where does your seed come from? Our products are raised by a network of growers across Mt, Wy, Wa, Alberta, and Sask, many of whom have raised products for us for approaching 50 years. These fields, in many cases, go past various quality programs. The seed is then cleaned here in Shelby, Mt, or one of our associated cleaned facilities across our production area. This photo is our operation in Shelby, Mt. At this location, we clean seed and is also our main distribution hub to our various customers across the USA. Year around, 100,000 # of seed leaves our location daily. These products are the foundation of our cattle and forage production for many ranches and farms. Big Sky Wholesale Seeds is proud to be part of this process.

Each fall Big Sky Seeds ships conventional and organic Austrian Winter Peas to the southeast US. These are planted in the fall and grow threw the winter. Then, as the spring approaches, the pea plants are plowed down. In this time of uncertainty with fertilizer supply and cost, growers across the south east US are benefiting from this approach. Soon, this field will be worked and planted to sweet potatoes with little to no commercial fertilizer. Big Sky Seeds is proud to be part of this process.
