My name is Jocelyn and I am a lifelong lover of fantasy, folklore, and things that smell amazing. During the COVID-19 pandemic lockdowns, one of the things that brought me comfort was cozy candles and wax melts. Last year, my boyfriend gifted me a set of candle making supplies, and I fell in love. Over the past year I poured into learning more about the craft of candle making and it has brought me

so much joy that I decided to open up shop, create scents that I love, and share it with anyone else who wants a little olfactory pick-me-up. I believe the learning process is never done and I can’t wait to keep it up! I personally have respiratory issues and several family members who suffer from migraines, so it’s important to me to make candles with clean ingredients. That’s why I use only natural vegetable waxes and fragrances that are phthalate-free. I hand-make everything in small batches from my home so I do small runs of limited edition and seasonal scents, partly to keep things manageable, and partly because it’s too much fun for me to create new scents, so I always have something new in the works!

I haven’t re-introduced myself in a while, so hi! I’m Jocelyn, founder of Mythic Wick.

I started creating candles as a pandemic hobby, crafting scents to pair with my favorite movies, books, shows, etc. I wanted to use fragrance to transport myself into another place, in a time when leaving the house felt rare and dangerous.

Mythic Wick was born a couple years later, and I have had the privilege of seeing my candles bring joy to so many of you.

Some of you have told me stories about how a candle got you through a tough time in life, how opening the advent calendars with a loved one across the country helped you feel closer during the holidays, how one of my fragrances was the perfect addition to your DnD campaign. How smelling my candles feels like home (literally what?? I’m so honored.)

And that is why I love doing what I do - somehow, a candle isn’t just a candle. It’s a memory, a connection, a bit of whimsy in a heavy world. And, my absolute favorite thing is when one of you comes and tells me what one of my creations has meant to you. From the bottom of my heart, thank you 🫶
