Christmas in Shepherdstown Experience the magic of Christmas in Shepherdstown, WV – where festive charm meets community joy.

The 2022 holiday season kicks off on the Friday after Thanksgiving (Nov 25) with home-made chili fundraiser (dine-in or take-away) by the Shepherdstown Kiwanis Club at the Community Club building (102 E German St) from 4-7 pm and a bonfire organized by the Shepherdstown Volunteer Fire Department starting at 4:30 pm in front of Town Hall. Kids & adults will gather in front of McMurran Hall at 5:30

to listen to Mrs. Claus tell stories before the lighting of the decorated tree around 6pm. Santa will arrive courtesy of the Fire Department to visit with children until 9pm. The next day (Saturday, Nov 26), the Community Club welcomes children for face painting, magic shows and other fun activities between noon and 3pm. The annual Christmas Parade organized by the Shepherdstown Rotary Club will march down German Street on Dec 3 (Sat), beginning at 10 am. The downtown shops and restaurants are open with extended hours, fun gifts, and seasonal menus throughout the season.
