We have so many amazing things on the calendar for this week folks, including 3 days with 2 events, so that's double the opportunity to come out and connect at the store. If you are a nature lover, you will want to make sure Monday is on your calendar and if you are fascinated by local history or curious about the supernatural, Thursday is going to be right up your alley.

7:30pm- Nature Nook Book Club with Jessie, discussing "The Overstory" by Richard Powers

Wednesday:
6:30pm- Runes & Roses Book Club with Erin, discussing "Vesselless" by Cortney L. Winn

Thursday:
6:00pm- "Ghosts of Antietam" Author Discussion and Book Signing with Mark P. Brugh
7:05pm- FSB Shepherdstown Ghost Tour by Small Town Ghost Tours (purchase tickets on their website)

Friday:
7:00pm- L***y Literature Book Club with Meagan, discussing "Devour Me" by Emily Rath

Sunday:
8:00am- Stories & Strides in Shepherdstown Audiobook Walk
1:30pm- Bookbound Buddies Middle Grade Book Club with Meagan, discussing "Inkbound: Meticulous Jones and the Skull Tattoo" by Philippa Leathley

If you're a nature lover, you won't want to miss the special evening we have planned for you next Monday, October 5th...

At 6:00pm, we will have Hillary Gonzalez joining us for a eco-poetry open mic night to share pieces from their new collection "Where the Osprey Nest." Please come with your own pieces to share or bring a meaningful work from someone else you'd like to offer to the group (either with their permission or from public access).

Then plan to stick around for our Nature Nook book club meeting at 7:30pm where we will be discussing "The Overstory" by Richard Powers. We know many of you have been looking forward to this gathering so we hope to see you all out at the store!

Copies of Hillary's book are available at the store now and you can reserve your copy when you RSVP on our website.

Our programming line up this month is pretty exciting as spooky season rolls in...

We have 18 store book club meetings!
-October 14th @ 7:00pm- Andrew Joseph White will be joining the Pages of PRIDE discussion via zoom

There will be 5 in-person authors for events!
-October 5th @ 6:00pm- Hilary Gonzalez and an Eco-poetry Open Mic Night for their new book "Where the Osprey Nest"
-October 8th @ 6:00pm- Mark P. Brugh author discussion for his book "Ghosts of Antietam"
-October 13th @ 7:00pm- Eileen Elizabeth's book launch for "Carrying the Bones"
-October 24th @ 6:00pm- Ari Philips and T.J. West in conversation for "Lore & Love in Appalachia"

We hope to see you at the store sometime soon, there are LOTS of opportunities to join us for an event that feels up your alley!

This week to come is actually the first “no book clubs” week in months, so we hope you all are catching up on some of the books off your TBR that you want to read just because. Enjoy the break because we are hitting the ground running in October!

We hope to see you all out on Sunday for our Love in Appalachia Author Fair! We will have a wonderful variety of books present (all somehow related to romance or our beloved region) so be sure to stop by and say hello.

You'll be able to see C.E. Sarrow at the store both Saturday and Sunday as she will be doing a pop-up signing on Saturday as well from 1-4pm!
