Congratulations to Brennan Bailey on being the #1 tracked airplane in the world yesterday! Brennan successfully completed his first 0.33 wheel landing from the right seat, in front of 6 fire trucks, 4 ambulances, 10 police cars, one Lifeline chopper, and his mom, while practicing to become a Certified Flight Instructor. You will soon be able to schedule training with this newly seasoned future instructor. He’ll have limited availability, so stay tuned and be ready to get on the schedule asap!!

Hi ya! I'm alive! How are you doing? Thank you to those of you who stopped by the flower cart this past weekend! I hope you're loving your flowers!

I've been talking care of myself over here, trying to enjoy the rest of summer, staying busy with my kids (one left for college and one got engaged YESTERDAY!), and am watching a whole lotta pets. It's always excitement at my house!

This month we'll be wrapping up the flower subscriptions--it seems like they just started! I love my customers and will be sad when it's over. Things have started off slow because I was waiting for some other flowers to bloom, but it's starting to appear that they may not bloom till mid October. You can't rush Mother Nature, though.

There will be flowers in the roadside cart until the first frost. They are taking on a fall vibe, especially now. The weekends of fresh flowers are limited.

Soon I'll have a fan favorite back in the cart--floral pumpkins!! Be watching for that announcement.

Right now, this guy is squeaking a toy in my face, so I get to go play again. Isn't he cute?

The roadside flower cart is open all day until 8 pm! There is no easier way to get flowers (other than cutting them from your own yard).

Drive out, pull over, choose your bouquet, pay at the stand, and you're on your way!

It's the start of the fall glow

Let's talk sedum!

Most of the bouquets leaning my flower farm this month have some sort of sedum in them.

This easy to grow plant thrives in Indiana and attracts many pollinators.

It's typically mounding and only needs watered when first getting established.

If you want it to stay perfectly upright, you may consider staking it with twine or plant supports, but it isn't essential.

The coolest part about the sedum in your bouquet? You can turn it into your own plant!

That's right! Pop it into a jar filled with water, leave it alone for a few weeks, and then you'll notice teeny tiny roots coming from the stem.

Plant most of that stem anywhere in your yard in full- sun. Water it, and water it every once in awhile this fall if we don't get any rain.

It's going to look pretty awful this fall--like a brown stem sticking up from the ground--but trust the process. Stick a ribbon on it or flag it if you don't want it mowed down.

Next April or early May, you'll start to see the little sprouts coming out from the base.

While the stem looked dead, all the action was happening below.
