Here's something worth knowing before you invest in outdoor furniture: not all outdoor fabrics are the same. 🌙

Solution-dyed acrylic fabrics like Sunbrella are colorfast, mold-resistant, and hold up to years of sun and rain. Polyester outdoor fabric fades faster and breaks down sooner. The difference in price is real, but so is the difference in how long your pieces last.

Here are a few quick rules that make a real difference:

🛋️ All front legs of your sofa and chairs should sit ON the rug, not float beside it.

📐 Leave at least 12 to 18 inches of bare floor visible between the rug edge and the walls.

🔲 In open floor plans like this one, use rugs to define zones. Each seating or dining area gets its own rug, letting the hardwood flow between them.

August forecast: 100% chance of not leaving this room!

Back to school prep is happening, fall planning is starting, and somehow the couch just got more comfortable. This is the time of year when your living room earns its keep.

And honestly? A great floor makes all of it better. Easy to clean after movie nights, tough enough for the chaos of end-of-summer, and good looking enough that you don't mind spending every evening on it. 📺
