Julie's pick for July is The Sentence, by Louise Erdrich, featuring an independent bookstore in Minneapolis navigating the events of 2020 while dealing with the ghost of their most annoying customer. 👻
For August, join Lili to talk about the most buzzworthy book of the year so far, Yesteryear! This debut novel by Caro Claire Burke has some incredible twists, characters, and details that we can't wait to discuss. ✨
This September, Elysha will be hosting us to read The Midnight Train by Matt Haig, a magical, time-travelling love story from the same world as The Midnight Library! 🚂

What is the Wonderland Book Club? Each month, one of our team members will choose a book for the book club to read, and we will get together for book chats, discounted after-hours book shopping, and mingling with fellow book-lovers! ✨ We're bringing back our summer Bedtime Stories! 🌙

Join us Thursday, June 25th from 6:00 to 6:30 PM to enjoy an interactive & relaxing story event! Hosted once per month by Julie, a Wonderland team member and Waldorf-trained teacher, our Bedtime Stories will feature enchanting tales and gentle mindfulness exercises to help little ones (and grown-ups!) wind down for the night. Pajamas are welcome and encouraged! 📖

Our June theme is Night Animals, so please bring a favorite bedtime animal stuffie for us to meet in our intro activity! 🧸

We’re so excited to be returning to the MKE Book Mission book fair this year! 💙

Stop by to see us at the Books & Beers Summer Tip-Off at The Deer Garden on June 30th from 4:30pm-9:00pm! ☀️

This fun, outdoor event has a little bit of everything, including books, gifts, handmade goods, treats, and local favorites! We’re extra excited to see our friends Bernie's Book Bank , who will be attending to host a community book drive in celebration of their grand opening. Bring some gently-loved children’s books or pick up a new book at the fair to donate to their incredible mission spreading books and literacy to children in the Milwaukee area! 📖

Join us this Wednesday for Story Sparks! Unlock your creativity with prompts, games, and challenges. Dive into brainstorming sessions that light up your imagination and start building stories you’ll love to share. Crazy, collaborative fun! This workshop is open to all ages but suggested for writers 7-13 years old. This exciting workshop will be hosted by the writing experts of Marigold Editorial!

About the team at Marigold Editorial:
Laura Misco holds an MFA in Fiction from the University of North Carolina-Wilmington. Her short fiction has appeared in such publications as the Southwest Review and Midwestern Gothic. She has taught creative writing — fiction, creative nonfiction, and poetry — for over 25 years. She is also a certified instructor of digital storytelling facilitation.

David Riordan holds an MFA in Fiction and an MA in Literature from McNeese State University. His fiction and poetry have appeared in The Boston Review, The Laurel Review, The Review, and other publications. He has taught creative writing — fiction, poetry, and screenwriting — for over 25 years and has worked as a script analyst and bookseller.
