From bottle to board! I’ve been stepping outside my usual stained glass projects to do some kiln-slumping, and I love how this upcycled wine bottle cheese tray turned out. There is something so satisfying about watching solid glass completely flatten into a smooth, functional piece of serving art. There is something incredibly rewarding about giving discarded glass a second life. This woven glass mask sculpture is the result of experimenting with recycled bottle glass. By layering and fusing strips from old wine and vodka bottles, I wanted to create a striking 3D form that plays with light and shadow. The copper wire accents hold everything together perfectly, creating a beautiful contrast between the organic glass shapes and the metal. Art shouldn't just be beautiful—it can be sustainable, too!

Did you know that dragonflies symbolize transformation, adaptability, and joy? I wanted to capture that light, airy spirit by pairing clear textured wings with a vibrant translucent green body. Watching the sunlight catch the textures of the glass is always my favorite part of completing a piece.
