The Porch on Main Boutique Clothing, Home Decor, & Gift Shop! Owner, Julie Ackerman, started The Porch on Main in 2000.

A building that has been JC Penny's, Willy's Department Store, a fabric store, and now an Ice Cream and Gift shop. Julie's husband, Kelly, remodeled and rebuilt this store with help from family and friends, creating a shop for everyone! They've expanded since 2000 adding more gift items and offering lunch five days a week from 11am-1pm. Julie also puts together arrangments for any holiday, birthday, or funeral. Be sure to stop on in where Julie and her employees are sure to make your day!

Join us for our Autumn Celebration on Friday August 21 & Saturday August 22! 🍂

We’ll have pumpkins, beautiful Iowa made signs, Halloween decor, children’s books and Fall Ooly, puzzles, cozy sweaters, and more! We hope to see you!

Items can include:
1) Feminine hygiene products - (both tampons and pads)
2) Personal hygiene items for both men and women;
Deodorant
Body soap/wash
Hand soap
Shampoo and Conditioner
Toothpaste
Toothbrushes
Body lotion
3) NEW underwear -especially women’s in ALL sizes, including larger sizes AND elementary sizes too!
4) Socks- new or gently used
5) Generals Apparel!! - new or gently used
6) Pants- we especially need bottoms for girls to change into, if needed. Athletic bottoms or sweatpants are great because the sizing is broader - new or gently used
7) Sweatshirts/Jackets/Coats- we have limited space so we may request winter clothing later but hoodies and lighter jackets are welcome now - new or gently used
8) Shoes- new or very gently used. Again, limited space, but if you have athletic shoes/sneakers in great shape that a middle/high schooler could use, we’ll find the space
9) Hat and gloves: New or gently used- we may request more winter gear later

If you would simply like to donate any of these items, you may drop them off at our store and we will get them to the school! 🧡

RINSE - with cool water & air dry
REUSE - again & again for a year - then compost or use as a fire starter!

Find the pack of 3 (small, medium, & large), the pack of one (x-large), or grab the bread bag!

The bread bag is perfect for preventing moisture buildup, helping to delay mold growth. At the same time, it helps retain moisture in the crust & crumb of the bread from keeping it going stale too quickly!
