🎉 Happy Birthday to the man behind The Houndstooth! 🎉
Buying a business is a huge risk, especially when you’re taking a chance on a small-town community and putting your heart into something you truly believe in. But Chris didn’t buy The Houndstooth to get rich — he bought it because he wanted to keep a small business for animals alive. What started with animals has grown into giving back to the humans in our community too, while helping keep a little bit of humanity and nostalgia alive.
You will never find Chris sitting around. He is always working, always going, and I constantly have to remind him to slow down and relax! He’s the first person to lend a helping hand — just a phone call away if you need a machine, a tool, some great advice, or simply a good laugh.
Most importantly, he has quietly given back to animals and people who needed help, never looking for recognition or praise.
He may not be the most fashionably dressed because he’s almost always in work clothes , but he takes great pride in everything he puts his hands to and has worked hard to build a life he can be proud of, all while remaining incredibly humble.
And he is, without a doubt, the best dad to all of the animals at our sanctuary.
We are very lucky to have him, and I hope he knows just how much he means to all of us.
