Our fundraiser for the Sidney Fire Department is off to a "hot" start!! We have the Thin Red Line t-shirts for $20, koozies for $5, household stickers for $3 with all profits going to the Sidney Fire Department. You can also have your local town FD added to the front of your t-shirt for $5 more. The current score for local FD decals is Sidney - 10, Tolono - 6, and Champaign - 1. We have decals ready to go for Sidney, Homer, Philo, St Joe/Stanton, Villa Grove and Tolono in white, silver and red...your choice. We can make others as well if you have time to wait (maybe while browsing the store??). Get your shirt while they are still available!

We are also down to about 8-9 mums left with orange, yellow or white as the colors left to purchase.

The Goose & The Gander, LLC Annual Small town Give back starts Wednesday 9/23/26! Stop by the shop in downtown Sidney and show your support to those that show up 24/7! Add your favorite local fire station to the front for $5 because around here, they all work together! All profits will go to the Sidney Fire Department . Tees are $20, $25 with your town added to the front, koozies are $5 (+tax). Limited quantities available.

It's almost time!! Walker's Prairie Harvest Popcorn will be here today popping up some of their delicious popcorn for customers to sample. They will also share their family history with growing various types of popcorn since 1938.

It's also Saturday morning so the coffee pot is on and ready to enjoy. We added several new Seasonal flavors recently from Main Street Roasters for you to get your hands on. Stop in today and have some fun with us in downtown Sidney, IL!

We are excited to have family members from Walker's Prairie Harvest Popcorn in our store this Saturday as our next store Pop-Up shop!! They will be popping their popcorn and handing out samples from 10am - 2pm this Saturday, September 19th. They will also share stories of the families history with growing popcorn, the different varieties of popcorn and more! Stop by to try a sample of their amazing popcorn, hear stories from a wonderful local farming family, and even purchase some of their popcorn. We carry it on our shelves!

In memory and honor of lives lost and changed by 9/11 twenty-five years ago, The Goose & The Gander, LLC has chosen the Sidney Fire Department for our Annual Small Town Proud Giveback for 2026! To the men and women firefighters that show up for us 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, we thank you! Thin Red Line flag tees and koozies will be available to purchase soon at The Goose & The Gander in downtown Sidney. ALL profits will go to the Sidney Fire Department to help with equipment costs. In true small town support, we will be offering the option to add a logo to the front chest of your t-shirt with the name of your local firehouse, because around here, we all need each other.

We have met some wonderful people as customers of our store over the past year and a few months. Most have become like friends to us over this short period of time. We can't thank you enough for your votes to get us 3rd Place in the People's Choice Awards for Vintage stores! We are blessed to be acknowledged in such a short period of time as a business. Here's to another year of growth and maybe we can move up the ranks in this category or even others.

Congratulations to the other Sidney businesses for their People's Choice Awards as well! Our little town is growing into something great.

Great news! The mums will be available again this year! We will be picking up a load of mums from Mariah's Mums & More early next week. We are excited to have their quality mums at our small town shop again this year! If you have time, we recommend you stop by their annual Mumfest happening this Saturday and Sunday and check out their amazing farm with a cut flower area, gift shop, vendors, food trucks, music, kids play area and more! Well worth the drive to the Clinton, IL area.
