For more than a decade, Joey Schroeder was an important part of the Signal Mountain Nursery family. For over 10 years, he showed up every day with a strong work ethic, a kind heart, and a willingness to help anyone who needed it. No task was too big or too small, and if something was broken, Joey could usually figure out how to fix it.
Many of our customers knew Joey as the friendly face behind the wheel, delivering mulch, plants, and everything needed to make their yards beautiful. He wasn’t just a delivery driver—he was someone people genuinely looked forward to seeing. His smile, dependability, and easygoing nature left a lasting impression on everyone he met.
When Joey wasn’t at work, he found joy in the outdoors. He loved exploring the woods in his Jeep and taking long rides on his motorcycle, embracing the freedom and peace that came with the open road and the beauty of nature.
Joey was the kind of person who made the workplace better simply by being there. His dedication, generosity, and quiet strength earned the respect and friendship of everyone who worked alongside him. He was more than a coworker—he was a true friend to many.
Joey’s absence will be deeply felt by all of us at Signal Mountain Nursery. We will miss his willingness to lend a hand, his steady presence, and the kindness he showed every day. Our hearts are with his family and friends during this difficult time. We are grateful for the years we shared with Joey and will always remember him with love, respect, and appreciation.
