Hi my friends! I've happily settled into my craft room and have been keeping busy with creative projects in retirement. Occasionally, I will post what I've made for sale.

🇺🇸 Joining in the USA's 250th anniversary celebration, I created these patriotic pillows from a quilt and grain sack:

The flag pillows (2) measure 12" x 18". The ribbon, which I brought back from France, is detachable.

The stars pillow (1) measures 17" x 19" and can be displayed in either direction.

The two designs pair together nicely and are a quick way to add a splash of handmade patriotism to your summer décor. All of the pillows feature an envelope closure on the back and are $30.

Last day to be a shopkeeper!

When I woke up today, it felt a bit like Christmas morning; that anticipation of a really fun day that will have a place in your heart forever.

Today was the last day for me to serve my customers, Heart of the Home is now retired. Many thanks to those that have come in to say goodbye, bring cards, fresh baked bread, gift cards, flowers & hugs. As we've worked to close the shop the past month, you have made the process a month long party!

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support and friendship.

Stay tuned, I'm keeping the business name & social media. I'm ruminating on a plan for a new, very small venture. If it comes together, I'll announce it probably late summer.

So, it's not goodbye, I'll see you around town! Until then, thank you.

~ The day downtown businesses were transformed into a movie set
~ Going to Market then cramming the car with special finds
~ Having Cookie as my Assistant (& Security Guard against intruders!!)
