Tested Best Against Leading Brand Citronella Candles or Sticks
The Citronella Outdoor Sticks were tested by a 3rd party independent testing lab against a leading citronella stick and a leading citronella candle. The conclusion was that Citronella Outdoor Sticks were dramatically more effective as a mosquito repellent than either of the other two, and in fact, citronella candles had very little effect at all! Your customers need and depend on having effective mosquito repellency and Citronella Outdoor Sticks actually delivers the goods and has the test results to prove it!

NeemAura® Citronella Outdoor Sticks™ rely on a blend of essential oils to provide mosquito repellency action. NeemAura® Citronella Outdoor Sticks™ are manufactured for and distributed by Lotus Brands, Inc. of Twin Lakes, Wisconsin. They were developed to provide a more effective alternative to citronella candles and other similar products that provide natural solutions to mosquito repellency needs in an outdoor setting.

Recently, a comparison study was done by an Independent Testing Laboratory that does live tests with mosquitoes to measure repellency of various products. The study report has an abstract, methodology, chart of results, and conclusions, along with the raw data of the three trials that were done. The trials included NeemAura® Citronella Outdoor Sticks™, Brand “P” Citronella Sticks, Brand “R” Citronella Candles, and an unscented “control”. The study measured mosquito perching behavior at various incremental distances from the test source item, as well as % in flight at a standardized time of exposure for each of the tested items.

The conclusions are stunning:

“Zone 5 (furthest distance) NeemAura® Citronella Outdoor Sticks™ were 86% more effective than Brand “P” Citronella Sticks and 108% more effective than Brand “R” Citronella Candles by virtue of the number of mosquitos which had perched 6 feet from the burning repellent.

Zone 1 (closest distance) NeemAura® Citronella Outdoor Sticks™ were 800% more effective than Brand “P” Citronella Sticks and 2100% more effective than Brand “R” Citronella Candles by virtue of the number of mosquitos which had perched 1 foot from the burning repellent.

Brand “P” Sticks and Brand “R” Candles were slightly more effective than the unscented control and are not effective as repellents because of their lack of repellency at short range (1 foot) and their markedly lower repellency at long range (6 feet).

Only NeemAura® Citronella Outdoor Sticks™ showed substantial repellent effects. They showed themselves to be more than 100% more effective than a standard universal citronella candle at long range, and 2100% more effective at short range. The mean percentage of repellency and lack of repellency shows NeemAura® Citronella Outdoor Sticks™ to be more than 10X (1100%) more effective than a Citronella Candle.”

Citronella Outdoor Sticks! Best of all, they smell great (much better than citronella candles in everyone’s opinion). They have 3x the active fragrance of normal citronella candles, with a high percentage of geraniol which has proven mosquito-repellent properties. These are here for the summer “bug” season.

Saw road sign in denali alaska with mosquito lifting a person and carrying him off. Apparently mosquitos are big here. Citronella Outdoor Sticks should be a 'must have ' to visit here

These sticks were tested in 3rd party laboratory against a leading citronella candle and a leading competitive citronella stick. they showed very substantial repellency at both close range and up to six feet (the range of the test). Neither of the competing products showed any substantial repellency action, leading to the conclusion of the study that ONLY Citronella Outdoor Sticks of the three was effective in repelling mosquitoes.
