Opportunity and Changes are Coming

Dear Loyal Minimal Impact Customers,

I am reaching out to you personally to fill you in on the difficult decision I have had to make. After 6+ years serving you the best zero waste retail options in Summit County, I have made the difficult decision to close the doors of both shops in June of this year. This decision was not made lightly. Because of tariffs, convenience online ordering, and the fact that I am a mother and running one other full time business, running these brick and mortar locations does not make sense to me any longer. I will be closing to focus my efforts, professionally, on serving the planet further by diverting waste at events and festivals.

You, my wonderful, caring, intelligent customers are the reason I have kept this space as long as I have. I want to extend the MOST gratitude to you all for supporting this mission all these years. I especially want to thank you for all the wonderful conversations we have had over the years. I LIVE for these thoughtful discussions, and will miss that the most.

As a thank you, I would very much like to provide you with the products you need for the last few months we remain open. I will be making a few more orders before we close our operation, and would love to hear directly from you on the products that you need. Please reach out to me directly at [email protected] and I can get these products to you. Additionally, I will be offering sales and other incentives on the products we currently have in stock.

Finally, if anyone would be interested in the opportunity to perpetuate a refillery business in the county, I am offering the business for sale. The company has a expansive customer list, $35-60k cash flow per year, and I am of the opinion that the right local could breathe life back into this business and make it thrive. Please reach out to me if you are interested in this opportunity, as I am trying to sell at a reasonable rate.

The Minimal Impact staff is mostly out of town this weekend (2/6-2/8) working recycling at a new festival in Arizona! We are so excited for this new opportunity, but it will effect our shop hours this weekend. The following are our updated hours:
Fri 2/6 - Frisco closed, Silverthorne maybe
Sat 2/7 - Frisco open 11a-1:45p/Silverthorne 11a-4p
Sunday - Frisco closed/ Silverthorne 12-4
MON/TUES - both shops closed

Stop supporting the corporate machine that has made all of our lives more difficult and more expensive. Small businesses have all had the worst year this year. We hope ypu will join us in boycotting Black Friday this year, and choose to shop small and support the retail and other small businesses that bring character to your community. This holiday season may be our last effort to keep the doors open. Please shop tomorrow, 11/29/2025. Please please please show up and shop to support!!

Both shops will be closed this Saturday, Sept. 6th. Most of our employees are either out of town or helping us run waste, recycling, & compost operations at an event in Denver. ALSO. Silverthorne will be closed Fri, but we will be in Dillon at the Farmers Market. Back to normal hours on Sunday.

September is hard for us at the Retail shops! Because we have so many events where we work to divert waste, we are gone a lot. We are also short-staffed between seasons, so if anyone needs a job, reach out!! Please check here & the website for closures. Thank you for understanding! We can't wait to see you!

We're Back, Baby!!

We are back and refreshed from Spring Break, and are slowly restocking all of your favorites! A fresh batch of shampoo and conditioner bars has arrived at both locations, mostly scented with essential oils, and all are hair type specific. Come in and check them out. April is Earth Month!

Every day should be Earth Day, and here at Minimal Impact we live with that mentality every day. In order to celebrate, we are offering 10% off of compost bins for the remainder of the month in an effort to help you make the change the planet needs. Compost bins are 10% off until April 30th so we can encourage you to compost at home.

Upcoming Closure!

Both physical locations of the Minimal Impact shop will be closed from April 19th-April 27th. We will reopen April 30th. Please visit our stores to get all of your spring break necessities (sunscreen, anyone?!) or home necessities prior to our closure.
