🌟 New Artist Spotlight: Erin Marie Morrissey 🌟

We are thrilled to welcome Connecticut-based painter Erin Marie Morrissey to Gather on Hopmeadow!

Erin’s work beautifully explores the quiet significance of ordinary objects. Working across drawing and painting, she takes familiar, often overlooked, and sometimes disposable subjects and renders them with a deep attention that completely shifts their meaning and presence.

Rooted in observational drawing and realism, her practice flows seamlessly between careful representation and a more intuitive approach to color, gesture, and abstraction. At the heart of her art is the act of looking—reminding us of what we notice, what we overlook, and how sustained attention can transform the commonplace into something extraordinary.

With past exhibitions in New York, Boston, and Ireland, we are incredibly lucky to showcase her talent right here in Simsbury.
