The Green Teahouse

The Green Teahouse THE GREEN TEAHOUSE was inspired by two brothers and a sister's passion for unique and premium teas. In 2009, The Green Teahouse was established.
(1)

Since youth they were enamored with their time-honored Chinese tradition of drinking fresh loose tea. Such love fostered their passion and created a renewed respect and appreciation for their culture. Aspiring to share their heritage and rich knowledge of fine tea, while recognizing America's health awareness, they ventured to the Western world. The brothers-sister team ushered in a new tradition

while realizing a childhood dream. Today the fruits of their labor can be enjoyed in America and throughout the world; proudly offering only the finest teas worthy of bearing The Green Teahouse name. Taste the difference that extraordinary quality and guaranteed freshness can make in your cup! Share the dream! Share the passion!

Growing up in China, my grandma made this simple herbal tea whenever we felt too much “internal heat”—dry, tired eyes, a scratchy throat, or even skin breakouts and infections 🌼🌿

For generations, Chinese yellow chrysanthemum and honeysuckle have been used in Traditional Chinese Medicine as a natural herbal remedy, often something we would reach for at home before considering medicine.

The flavor of this tea is light and smooth, with a subtle herbal aroma—simple, refreshing, and comforting☺️

Sometimes, the remedies we grew up with are the ones we continue coming back to. 🍵

Hi this is Ting, I hope this transitional remedy helps you 😊

“Hi, this is Ting. I’ve been sharing some Western research about green tea, but did you know that drinking tea has been part of everyday life in many Asian cultures for centuries?

Growing up in China, tea wasn’t something we drank only for its health benefits—it was simply part of our daily lifestyle. And you’ll find strong tea traditions in countries like China, Japan, and Korea as well.

I personally drink green tea almost every day.
Now modern research is helping us understand some of the natural compounds in green tea, like EGCG, that may help explain why this simple leaf is so interesting.

I’m sharing this because I know how exhausting menopause can feel.

If you’re going through menopause right now, I hope sharing my journey makes you feel a little less alone. ❤️🍵

Hi this is Ting. Have you experienced similar symptoms? I’d love to hear what has helped you.

What I didn’t understand yet was that my American customers already had their own way of enjoying tea.

They were comfortable with larger mugs and teapots, while I had grown up drinking tea from much smaller Chinese teacups.

So I changed.
And something changed—not only in my business, but in me.

I learned that sharing my culture didn’t mean asking others to experience it exactly the way I did.

I could preserve what was meaningful while also embracing the culture around me.

Sometimes survival requires us to bend without breaking.
When something isn’t working, it doesn’t always mean we’ve reached the end.

It may simply be an invitation to adjust, learn, and turn the page.

Sometimes the plan that didn’t work is what leads us into the chapter that will. 🍵🌿

Friend, have you ever had something not go according to plan, only to realize later that it led you somewhere better?

Friends, this is Ting, please help me create my next tea! 🌿🍵
I’m working on a blend inspired by traditional Chinese herbal tea, this tea helps to release the feeling of the body overheated due to lack of sleep, skin irritation/ inflammation, dried / itchy eyes, heavy coated tongue, yellow urinate / UTI symptoms etc., but I want to make the flavor something YOU would genuinely enjoy drinking.

If you could choose, which would you reach for?
🍒 Cherry — fruity & slightly tart
🍋 Lemon — bright & refreshing

Cherry or Lemon?
Tell me in the comments—I may create the winning flavor!
Thank you❤️

Before rushing into September, I hope you give yourself a little time today to slow down, make something you love to drink, and appreciate the season you just lived through.

Some seasons are for accomplishing.
Some are simply for growing.

Dear friend, this is Ting. What’s one thing you’re grateful for this August that makes your heart smile ☺️✨

Fresh pear + delicate Silver Needle white tea creates a naturally light, subtly sweet and refreshing tea.

In Chinese food therapy, pear is traditionally enjoyed to help moisten dryness and soothe the throat.

Hi this Ting. I hope you will save this and try a warm pot for yourself this coming season ✨☺️
With love 💕

Recipe:
A sliced pear ( Seckel is sweeter)
4 cups water
1 Tbsp Silver Needle White Tea
1 tbsp your favorite fruit tea ( I used Sapphire Cider Fruit Tea for extra antioxidants and relaxing properties, you can find this tea from the website linked in bio)

Instructions:
1. Being all ingredients to boil
2. Turn off heat and let it sit for 5-8 min.
3. Add 1 tbsp of honey
Enjoy hot or pour on ice 😊
