Morning greetings from the tree farm!
Despite our cold start to the day, yesterday turned into a beautiful day to shop for a tree & to stroll through the market.
The cut-your-own field is still yielding trees & the pre-cut Fraser Firs are selling briskly, as a nice alternative.
The Heartland Christmas Market will be open today, Sunday, Dec. 7, noon - 5 pm.
Our market music shed will be booked with a surprise showing of Lydia & Eric Brubaker on strings! This daughter-dad duo will play from 1 -2 pm.
Tide Spring, a local bluegrass band will follow from 2 -3 p,
Foxtail Trio will play from 3 - 4 pm.
Plan to attend these performances, while warming by the fire. How fortunate we are to have these musicians at the market!

Heartland Christmas Market News:
New to the market is a stall with amazing items to raise funds for the recently launched Rocktown House of Music.
When you stop in, you'll find hats, t-shirts, wooden holiday ornaments & wreaths.
All the proceeds will go into Rocktown's budget, which includes growing an instrument library & providing subsidized music lessons.
What a great opportunity to support this new community asset!
You'll find Rocktown House of Music's stall in Lamb Barn 1.

Upcoming Heartland Christmas Market Music
We're so looking forward to tunes coming from the music shed:
Saturday, Dec. 6th schedule
12 - 1 pm Port Republic Toad, an old-time string band
1 - 3 pm: Broken Chandelier, teen string ensemble performing festive, holiday songs
3 - 4 pm: Cora on keyboard, performing classic pieces
Sunday, Dec. 7th schedule
12 - 2 pm: Broken Chandeliers
2 - 3 pm: Tide Spring, traditional bluegrass band, playing classic & holiday tunes
3 - 4 pm: Foxtail, young strings musicians, spreading holiday cheer
Come on out, relax by the fire, to support our local musicians!

Greetings from the Ostlund Christmas Tree Farm!
We're gearing up for another busy weekend at the farm.
We will be open for full-service Saturday, 9 am - 5pm & Sunday, 12 pm - 5 pm.
The tree inventory in our cut-your-own field is very tight. We still have a very good selection of pre-cut Fraser Firs.
We've re-stocked the wreath shed; plan to pick one for your front door!

Thanks to everyone who visited the farm this past holiday weekend. The field was full of families searching for their tree & the candy cane tree! LOTS OF families were VERY pleased with the pre-cut Fraser Fir option, especially for the heights above 7 feet.
Heartland Christmas Market was steady & the vendors were excited to show their creative wares. The hot chocolate/hot cider stall run by the grandkids was also busy. And the market was filled with the honking of the barrel train horns as the Candy Cany Express traveled along its market path.
Monday-Friday of this week, Dec. 1-5, we're open on a self-serve basis. Our cut-your-own tree inventory is very tight now so please consider the pre-cut Fraser Firs as an option. Our selection of these trees is still very good & they are beautiful!
Dogs are welcome as long as they're leashed.

We were delightfully busy yesterday!
The weather was much more comfortable with the shining sun & the festive vibe was contagious.
Customers are still able to find cut-your-trees in the field & the pre-cut Fraser Firs continued to be a good option for the taller trees also.
Wreaths & Bundles O' Boughs are still available but going fast.
We continue to experience issues with our web site - sorry for this inconvenience. We're trying to get it resolved.
Today, at Heartland Christmas Market, the hot chocolate stand will be closed.
Enjoy these photos of Santa's visit & grandkids adorned with beautiful, dried flower headbands from Low Hill Farms.
The tree farm & market are open today, 12:00 pm - 5:00 pm.
Dress for this blustery weather & plan to warm up by one of our fires. A warm, pulled pork sandwich from Smokin' Q would hit the spot, too!

We are open for Christmas trees & Market!
9 am - 5 pm.
Dress warmly for your tree search. We have cut-your-own & pre-cut Fraser Firs in 4 sizes. The wreath shed is fully stocked with wreaths & greenery. Plan to warm up by our fires, sipping hot chocolate. The barrel train will be running.
The barns are loaded with wonderful treasures.
Come early to enjoy this holiday experience.
