Some pieces of lumber deserve more than a rushed project. These are made during my live builds, when the grain, color, and feel all line up just right. That’s when the best work happens.

A lot of people ask why I don’t make these all the time.

The answer is simple: I wait for the right material. When the wood has the right balance of grain, stability, and character, I turn it into a cutting board or serving tray during a live shop session. It’s woodworking at its most honest.
