Hey y’all! Happy 2026! The end of 2025 and beginning of 2026 were so busy for us, I did manage to finish my nephews fishing set for Christmas, and got more work done on my sister in laws blanket. I’ve had so many project ideas and beautiful yarn that my notebooks are overflowing with plans for 2026. My husband had a work trip to Minneapolis in January and I tagged along to keep him company and we had a nice little overnight trip getting dinner at mall of America, and visiting some yarn shops! I have avoided the mall of America like the plague since I got food poisoning in 2018. It was a very small step for me, only going on one floor of the mall and as a treat my husband got me this beautiful project planner in my favorite color from Knit & Crochet shop in the mall that we passed on our way to dinner. The next day before we headed home we stopped at a locally owned independent yarn store. Beautiful yarn, beautiful project bags, buttons, notions and more! I ended up with mini scissors that fit perfectly into my project bags and have already come in handy many times! I started planning my first garment project of the year using some beautiful hand spun hand dyed yarn I got in Grand Rapids Michigan while visiting family. The yarn has been prepared and living in my handmade project bag also made locally in Grand Rapids, i used AI to make the yarn as true to its natural color as possible and give it as pretty a background as possible to match the gorgeousness of the yarn
