beacons.page/catyardbookshop Welcome to Cat Yard Book Shop: a cute little bookshop nestled in the garage-turned-workshop of a 1890 farmhouse in Skowhegan, Maine, right across from the beautiful Kennebec River. Cat Yard is the passion project of Jessica Roy, a lifelong book lover and bookstore enthusiast. After earning her Master’s degree in Library Science (with a focus on youth librarianship) in May 2025, and with over a decade of experience working with youth in libraries, Jess decided it was finally time to build the bookshop she’d always dreamed of. Cat Yard Book Shop carries mostly gently used books, but you'll also find select new titles, vintage treasures, and the occasional unexpected gem.
