My loves, clear those kids’ shelves and donate your gently loved books in memory of Dolly! I love when our community joins together in a shared goal, and this one is my most favorite of all: getting more books into more hands. 📚💙

So many within our Engel & Völkers family have a personal connection to Dolly’s Imagination Library. Our own children grew up receiving books in the mail from birth through age five, and we know firsthand how special it was to see a new book arrive with their name on it.

Dolly believed deeply in the power of books to open doors, inspire dreams, and create opportunity. Her Imagination Library has helped place hundreds of millions of books into the hands of children around the world.

Now, in her memory, we want to carry a small piece of that legacy forward right here at home.

Our Engel & Völkers Slidell Mandeville shop is collecting new and gently used books for students through 12th grade.

We’ll work to get these books directly into the hands of local students through our schools and community partners, including Friends Closet and our local United Way, so they can reach families where they’re needed most.
