Opened in 2001 2 months after 9/11. My auction started out as a PT venture while working a FT job. Holding my first live auction at a Bingo Hall in Funkstown, MD then in Leitersburg MD at the Fire Co. Activity Center. In 2008 I made the leap to Full time Auctioneer leaving the desk job behind. In Sept 2009 I moved the business into the old Newman's Ford Building in Smithsburg where I have been eve

r since. In late 2017 I started a gradual transition to online auctions. While still available for a live auction if the situation suits Smithsburg Country Auction is now an online auction. November of 2021 will mark my 20th year in the auction business. I am a 1995 Graduate of Millersville U of PA with a B.S in Education. I am also a graduate of Mendenhall School of Auctioneering in High Point, NC. I have been a licensed PA auctioneer for over a decade. I held a MD real estate license for several years. Former member of Hagerstown Rotary & Waynesboro PA Chamber of Commerce.
