Friends giving and Thanksgiving Parties always sneak up on us, and when do people have them?

The appropriate time to host a Friends giving is 3 weeks BEFORE Thanksgiving - you can have it whenever but 3 weeks before helps because you aren't interfering with the week before Thanksgiving when families are rushing to the store to prep for in-laws coming in town and of course the week of Thanksgiving is normally already reserved which leaves you 3/4 weeks prior on the weekend evenings
