Figments and Fripperies Back in 2015, I set up at my 1st event-on a whim- and I was hooked. Over a decade in and my business has grown and changed. Each piece is handmade and unique.

I make hand stamped, die struck and forged metal jewelry, bookmarks, journals and more. Geeky, snarky, spooky and odd- that’s me. Figments and Fripperies is my new creative outlet. I will be starting out by showing my handmade jewelry and hopefully will branch out with some other surprises soon. Sometimes I can make another similar one and some have been made with inclusions that I can't replace. This is the very beginning of a new venture for me- I welcome comments and suggestions. Just keep it clean and please be nice. Welcome!

I know, I know. I haven’t posted in 3 weeks. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Came back from Dragon Con absolutely exhausted, got all my custom orders made and shipped and then headed out of town for several days for a wedding. Now I’m scrambling to get a few more things done for this show on Sunday and then trying to pivot to making Christmas ornaments (snarky ones of course) because it’s about to be that 5 Christmas shows in 3 weeks time of year again. 😳
BUT FIRST- I LOVE this show every year. This is the same awesome Halloween show that is usually in Clarksville at Liberty Park but we are traveling just a wee bit over the state line to Kentucky this year to Valor Hall. Still going to have lots of vendors, food trucks, trunk or treat in the parking lot and at least some of the vendors will also have candy for the kids. Hoping you will come out and have a spooky good time. 🧙🏻‍♀️☠️🕷️🕸️🦇👻🎃

I want to give a massive thank you to Meg from Sparkle Designs for introducing me to her followers. After a very successful career making jewelry and doing conventions, she has retired and is moving to a tropical paradise 🌴
While our styles and work are very different, I will do my best to try and fill a little of the void she leaves behind in the fandom jewelry world.

To anyone new and everyone who has been with me here for a while, welcome!

Here is just a small selection of some of the things that I make. In person is always the best way to see my work because I never have the time to get everything posted like I should. I perpetually plan to get it done but I also perpetually run out of time.

Dragon Con is just a little over a week away and I will be there with so many new things and lots of tried and true favorites. Please come see me on the 1st floor booth 1412 if you will be there. ❤️

You may or may not have seen my post this morning about Nerdy Noel Midsummer Market this Sunday and the pieces on my bench that I was working on finishing. In case you didn’t, I had mentioned that I was working on this Medusa piece when I lost my grip while using my micromotor and she flew out of my hand. I spent a good 10 minutes looking for her (yes, my “studio” is rather ahem, full.) Anyway, I decided she had just traipsed off to another dimension and hoped she would come back by the weekend.
Well.
Before I left to go do some of my other non jewelry work today, I had taken my pewter moon and sun piece out of the tumbler which is about 5 feet away and behind me. Last thing I did before I left. Had Medusa been hanging out there I would have seen her. I got home this afternoon and made another cursory look before getting back to the other pieces. No luck. I dropped the pewter back in the drum and took it to the tumbler to start it again and there Miss Traveling Medusa was. At least 5 feet away almost straight back from where I let go of her. I really hope she had a nice trip, wherever it was she was roaming around. 😳🤪🫨

Just a few days away from Nerdy Noel Midsummer Market this Sunday at Stovehouse in Huntsville from 11-5. This is a fantastic location and an absolutely awesome show. I am frantically finishing things like these 3 that are still on my bench getting worked on. There is also a Medusa etched stone that flew out of my hands while I was working on her and apparently crossed into another dimension. Hoping she comes back in time. 🤦🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️

Just a quick reminder that this Saturday, June 27th, is the Shadow Market in Manchester. This is the first year for this show but I have a feeling it’s going to be a fantastic one. It has been a very busy and very productive week. This is just a small portion of what I have worked on getting ready for Shadow Market next Saturday in Manchester (about 60 stamped necklaces, 30 pairs of earrings, another 10-15 pewter pieces, 10-15 copper pieces, and 30 bookmarks, plus a few bracelets 😳🤪) I am going to get as much as possible finished by Saturday but I’m sure there will be a few things that won’t be ready until the next show. It’s busy season so there are plenty of events to get stocked up for in the coming weeks/months. Now back to work!!
