What does it actually take to feel like you belong in a community? In the newest chapter of Snohomish Storytellers, we sit down with Kelli Toomey, local real estate broker, longtime volunteer, former First Street business owner, and chair of HDSA’s Fostering Community Committee.

We talk about finding your people, why volunteering might be one of the best ways to get connected, and how a simple invitation can open the door to feeling like you’re truly part of your community.

Kelli has been involved in just about everything Snohomish, and her story is a great reminder that you don’t have to do it all. Sometimes you just have to find one place to start.

Happy Labor Day from Historic Downtown Snohomish! Today we’re celebrating the people whose hard work keeps our district thriving. Behind every storefront, restaurant, and office are owners, employees, makers, and community members who pour their time and talent into this place.

HDSA is proud to support and work alongside these partners all year long to keep downtown vibrant, welcoming, and full of possibility.
