I know I haven't been around much lately. We lost my sweet mother in law a little over 3 weeks ago. She was diagnosed with Alzheimers in 2021, she had been showing symptoms for much longer than this but we had a tough time convincing her to go and be evaluated.
When she started to decline rapidly I had a hard time finding the desire to sew. My mind was a jumble of emotions and I couldn't focus.

I have finally been finding my sewjo again and I have been prepping for Fall events. I am only doing a select few this year. I will create a calendar for those very soon.

My latest tool investment arrived this morning! This is a rivet press but it's so much more than that. It also sets snaps and other fun things! So, instead of the hammer and anvil tools I now have a professional press to ensure my rivets set properly .

It's the little things (they feel big to me) that really get me excited ❤️!

A new style bag hot off my sewing machine! Meet the sidekick!
The sidekick may look simple but it has some fun surprises!
The sidekick features 2 'hidden' pockets. One is located on the front under the flap and is perfect for your keys or smaller items you want easy access to. The other 'hidden' pocket is on the back of the bag and it is perfect for a phone. It gives you easy, quick access.

Inside, the sidekick is quite roomy and features a card pocket that will hold multiple cards.

The sidekick has enough room inside that it could easily hold a wallet with room for other items.

The Sidekick in the photos is made with a brown waxed canvas and an out of print Michael Miller quilting cotton called Daisy Dreams for the outside. Inside is a water proof canvas. It closes with a magnetic snap on the flap and has an adjustable and removable strap made with cotton webbing that features an accent of that Michael Miller Daisy Dreams to give it a little extra pop tying it all together.

Here a couple of new sling style bags I recently finished, I'm calling these the Adventure Sling. These are more roomy than the Sassy & Seeker Sling. The Sassy & Seeker are more flat, these slings I recently finished have more depth to them but still not large. Details for each :
First bag- owl with navy blue background
*front panel is a faux leather
*body of the bag is a navy waxed canvas
*lining is a fuschia waterproof canvas
*features a total of 4 pockets- front panel features a zippered pocket and behind the front panel is a large slip pocket that goes all the way to the bottom of the bag.
*Inside features a slip pocket that goes the full width of the bag.
* There is a roomy zippered pocket on the back of the bag
*Wide adjustable strap
Measurements are approximately 7" wide, 14" tall & 3" deep

Second bag: owl with cream background
*front panel is a cotton canvas fabric
*body of the bag is a gray waxed canvas
*lining is a green water resistant canvas that matches the green in the owl print on the front
*features a total of 5 pockets- front panel features a zippered pocket and behind the front panel is a large slip pocket that goes all the way to the bottom of the bag.
*Inside features a slip pocket that goes the full width of the bag and a zippered pocket.
* There is a roomy zippered pocket on the back of the bag
*Wide adjustable strap with a padded section at the top.
Measurements are approximately 7" wide, 14" tall & 3" deep

I'm not sure I have ever made a post introducing myself so here we go!
Here is a little about me:
I'm an artist, maker, and lifelong lover of color. After being diagnosed with ADHD as an adult, a lot of my creative process suddenly made sense—the constant ideas, the joyful rabbit holes, and the irresistible urge to learn new crafts. These days, I channel that energy into artisan soaps, hand-dyed fabrics, and handcrafted bags, wallets, and accessories. My work blends practical function with vibrant color, quirky personality, and a touch of hippie soul. Every piece is made by hand and carries a little bit of the beautiful chaos that inspires me.
My ADHD brain sees possibilities everywhere. One day its swirling colors into soap, the next its dyeing fabric into psychedelic patterns and then turning those fabrics into bags, wallets and wearable art. My studio runs on creativity, curiosity and sometimes chaos.

Another style bag I made recently. I haven't decided yet what to call this design. This one features a zippered pocket on the front, a slip pocket with flap and magnetic snap closure on the back. Inside it has a zippered pocket.

This one is super versatile, it can be worn as a sling across the front or back, as a cross body or with a 2nd strap it can be worn as a backpack.
